With the COVID-19 pandemic progressing and it’s intensity went down due to world-wide vaccination and seasonal effects of the summer, travelling to Iceland got easier: I just had to register online my vaccination certificate before leaving Switzerland. I got a QR Code in return that had to be scanned at Keflavík airport and I was free to go in Iceland.
At this time, tourists from Asia were still not allowed to enter Iceland. Therefore, it was relatively calm on the island.
Like all my trips to Iceland since 2017, this trip was organized by Erlingsson Nature Travel in Reykjavík.
