In spring of 2020, the respiratory disease COVID-19 spread like a fire around the world.
When I went to Graz, the hotels there were already pretty empty and were getting cancellations almost every hour.
During my stay Austria started closing its schools and many flights were cancelled. So was my SWISS return flight to Zurich. I had to fly home with AUSTRIAN AIRWAYS via Vienna.
Four days after my return home, on March 16, 2020, the Federal Council decreed the lockdown for Switzerland.
