When the first vaccinations against COVID-19 were introduced in the spring, the number of infections fell and the strict restrictions were relaxed in many places.
Vaccinated persons were tested upon entry into Iceland. If the test was negative, one could move freely in the country. However, local hygiene measures still had to be observed.
This time I didn’t do a round trip with a rental car, but rented a holiday apartment in western Iceland and made excursions from there.
Like all my trips to Iceland since 2017, this trip was organized by Erlingsson Nature Travel in Reykjavík.
